HersheyPark By Matthew Fitzpatrick Hershey Park is a large 110 acre amusement park located in a town called Hershey. The town of Hershey is in central Pennsylvania near the state capital, Harrisburg. Hershey Park is home to over 60 rides and attractions with 11 being roller coasters and 10 being water rides. If roller coasters are not your thing then you can go and visit Zoo America, a small zoo connected to the park by a bridge. The ticket to the zoo is included with your ticket to the park. If you are in central Pennsylvania I highly recommend visiting the park. List of roller coasters: Comet – classic wooden coaster built in 1946 Great Bear – first inverted coaster in the state Lighting Racer – first wooden racing dueling coaster in the world Roller Soaker – interactive water coaster SooperDooperLooper- first looping coaster on the east coast and the second in the world Sidewinder – Standard Vekoma boomerang coaster Storm Runner – first Intamin hydraulic launch coaster to go upside down, 0 to 72 in 2 seconds Trailblazer - family mine train coaster Wild mouse - compact wild mouse coaster WildCat – wooden twister, first ride built by the now famous Great Coasters International Fahrenheit – a new steel roller coaster with a 97 degree negative drop
